TPS setting confusion

I have just set my MAF which was on 1.2 v anyway so just tweaked it to the suggested 1.3 v and went to do the TPS but I am getting strange readings.With the ignition turned to on without engine running I am getting a reading of 4.3 volts and then gradually drops off to 0 volts with the throttle fully open.I am getting a good reading of 5 volts going in when testing the red power in.My multi meter is working fine as everything I have been doing with it lately is fine.What is going on here.:confused:

Hi shane I just did this and had the same thing happen turns out from the tutorial discos have a slightly different wirring loom so i just did mine from the signal wire i think the green one cant remember exactly then i just put the other side of the metre to gorund then it worked ok cheers

Thanks nigelbuilding1984,adjusted it yesterday and worked beautifully.Positive from multi meter to green wire and earth to to ground on body.Had to slot TPS a little to get a bit more movement.Hope this helps others with a Disco 1 as most posts on this guide you a bit differently with the multi meter probe set up.My Disco is a 94 update 3.9.
