Looked at another D2 TD5 today

Took a look at another TD5 2000 with 175k on it.
Pull the bonnet and take a look at the expansion tank......empty and full of rusty scale. I Query the owner, not much concern from him.
I have looked at 5 Landys in the last 6months and this is the 3rd with low or no Coolant in the expansion tank.
This is basic maintenance that most people seem to neglect.
This vehicle had logged 10-20k servicing at various workshops around NSW and i cant see that it has had a coolant change in the last 5 years.

This is another walk away vehicle its a shame with so little milage on it.

Why don't you ask the Disco boys on the D2 pages for guidance? Someone may know of a good one for you.

Yes Scouse you are right there on the 38.
I was just looking for a project car that i can kit out. This one was $12.5k and i thought if i could knock him down too $9k it would be viable.
But the TD5s scare me a bit to be honest i have had one and sold it, they seem to have to many things that can go wrong under the hood.
I know that must sound strange from a 38 owner.

Aah that makes sense... Why not just get another p38 for your project and Hard Range it?
