To anyone who is interested,

I have a 1967 4cyl Series II ex-army Land Rover I wish to sell.

Our family has had this Series II for many years and prior to us it was property of the Australian military. It has 49,870Km on the clock.

About a year ago I decided to restore it and I began to take it apart. Unfortunately, my life has become a lot busier and I simply do not have the time to keep working on it. I have decided that this beautiful vehicle needs to go to someone who's willing to put the time into it and bring it back to its glory days.

There was never anything wrong with the engine before I started taking it apart. The engine ran beautifully and it purred. I basically just wanted to get into it and replace all the perishables and wiring and minor surface rust issues. So to put it back together won't be too difficult for someone who knows Land Rovers. I've attached some images to give you an idea of the condition it is in.

Long story short, I would like to sell the Land Rover as it is and I'm looking for Land Rover lovers in the hope that someone would be interested in buying it and restore it to its glory days.

Let me know if you're interested or know of someone who might be.

Cheers

Adam Dartnall

G'day All, If as you say it's a 1967 model, then it will be a S2A, it is a 109 Workshop vehicle (many variants), that would be an ideal project for someone wanting to get into the ex-mil scene, of which there is a big following in Sth E Qld.
From the pix supplied that would be a walk in the park type restoration (for me anyway) great looking looking vehicle, here is a pic of mine with trailer attached

anyway heres hoping it goes to some deserving soul out there, cheers Dennis:angel:

Have you thought about putting this in the 'REMLR' section as you would get much more readers of ex-mill landy's;)

Looks like an easy project as Dennis has stated:)

And no I don't need another project:o

I should point out that if it is the original speedo, that will be miles not km, and that the Series speedo only goes to 99,999, so there is a very good chance it has gone round the clock. If the speedo has been replaced with a metric one, the real mileage is anyone's guess.

On the other hand, it is possible that it really has only done 49870 miles - just don't count on it!

Hey Dennis,

Yeah she's an S2A - 109 inch WB. Love yours, it looks great! I wish I had more time to do the same with my one but it's just not possible I'm afraid.

Thanks for the comments.

Adam.
