Hi guys

Washed the deefer down after our augusta trip (was ditched) and noticed a hell of a lot of the clear laquer on the roof has bubbled (big patches around 200-300mm long. The roof is dark blue (oslo?) as per the rest of the car...

what are my options? i am guessing a complete respray of the roof.. if so

any idea how much it should cost... ?

any ideas of somewhere that can respray it using the correct primers etc for ally? (ie have a bit of experience with this kind of thing?

Thanks

Steve

I've had this on other vehicles and once the clear only is stripped, the paint under it cut back a bit and a new layer of clear applied, you shouldn't be able to notice it. I've done this myself on many occasions either using spraypack for the smaller areas or a spray gun for larger ones. Can do a bonnet/boot/roof in a weekend with time to spare. If you aren't up to the job yourself any reputable spray shop should be able to do it for a few hundred dollars.

Thanks for that...

Doing it myself isnt an option... i dont have the facilities for that... and i want it doing properly :)

Flatting down i'm not sure will work as the paint underneath has lots of teeny bubbles in... looks like a dodgy paint job at some point....

anyone know of a good paintshop in perth that can deal with the ally?

Thanks

Steve

Steve,
I looked at getting mine colour matched as the white has a few scratches.
Was quoted around $800 to do the job.
In Perth you may get this down a bit.
