18" Spare wheel

Well we have arrived!!..Our D3 was cleared through customs and quarantine today and we have taken her over to Opposite Lock to have a couple of jobs done..

I bought an extra tyre over with us from NZ as Gordon at OL was confident he could find me a spare 18" rim for it, but to no available.

Does anyone know where I might get one?
It doesn't have to be in Sydney as we are heading north and won't be offroading until we get north of Brisbane.

You could maybe buy these if he won't split them and then resell the other 4!

I rang the tyre place but they won't split the set.

Just call into a LR dealer service workshop as they might have the odd wheel stashed away somewhere.

They get damaged & swapped over regularly (so I'm told) so there might be a cheapy lying around.

I'm assuming your here on holidays and going back to nz at some stage.

I'm south and have a spare set of rims in the garage. If you wanted to borrow one I'm sure we could work something out - like a refundable deposit.

Hey thanks Trobbo...but we are heading north.

I appreciate the offer and I also have an offer from another forum member of a rim up in Brisbane we could borrow.

I have just emailed Purnells to see if they have a rim kicking round as well.

So if I can't find one to buy we at least have a plan b.

That is the great thing about this forum and landy owners in general..we will stick together and support each other.

I am a member of the NZLR forum back home and we have exactly the same type of camaraderie.

For your guys interest as well as the D3 we have a 300tdi D1 and a 56 86inch back home. The series 1 I rebuilt from the chassis up.
