Fitting a 2nd auxillary battery in my 02 Defender in rear passenger area and trying to find a nearby earth point without success. Will be earthing to the existing auxillary battery but wanted the additional earth point to assist charging. Any obvious points available?

use the neg terminal of your main battery or find some metal to connect to the body.

Chassis NOT Body.... Chassis is Steel, Body is Alloy....

But just one run to the main battery earth point will do just fine...

Attic to one of the bell housing bolts

That what I did when I had an earthily problem with the 90 worked fine and easy to do.

If you dint mind me asking why in the rear, why not under the passenger seat in the front?
