The GPS 'Where Is' disk that the D3 came with is now very out of date so its time to get the latest version so I was wondering if anyone had found a place to buy them at a better price then RRP?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

cheers,
Terry

I still have the original 2004/05 CD in my NAV. My concern is that new issue discs will not be much different.

Here, there is not much of a market for NAV and even fewer roads to be concerned about. Somehow, Australia strikes me as it may not be a primary concern on the Navteq update list either.

Hiya Terry... mine also is outta date but the cost is ridiculous IMO.
A Ford dealer said to me recently that why would you bother installing the in dash option because of the update costs when you can just replace a smaller stick to the window type unit with an up to date model for a lot less. Had to agree with him.... couldn't take my knife to his gun fight.
Cheers & I also will keep looking at options to upgrade...

Hi Mully

I will never again buy a new vehicle with a factory fitted in dash GPS unit mainly because they cost so much for what is often a very average to often below average unit.

Having said that having this time bought a second hand D3 with a factory GPS I would rather get it up to date then leave it with a old disk, so I will keep shopping around for the new version disk.

cheers,
Terry

I think the maps are Sensis ones. You can buy them from them but it is not much less.
I am sure there would be a way of updating the existing DVD and burning a new DVD.
