Another thread about tyres

Hey all, time for me to buy my first set of new tyres, expensive buggers aren't they? Stock standard 235, 70, R16's

basically I've had a look around and am wondering what you all think. Here we go -

Kumho KL78 - $235
Maxxis AT 771 - $210
Maxxis 751 - $225
Toyo Open Country - $260

So what's best for the price? Could I get some of them cheaper?

I'll probably use them 70 - 80% blacktop.

I've just put 225/75/16 A/T BFGs on my 200tdi
$300 each. Old ones 10 years 99500km...

I'm in the same boat at the moment.

Dueler D694 quoted at $219 a corner

my preference is for some Goodyear Duratrac in a 225/75/R16 but haven't got a price on them yet.
