Do you realise you may be starting a power war?
I dont think Garry and my self will let you lead the pack without a fight ?
Garry is most likely working on a stoker 5.2 as I type.
Anyhow you can show us the pitfalls of a bigger donk.

Nah - I have a spare fuel injected Jag V12 down the back your that I was going to put in one of my series 1s - but will now have to put it in the 101.
The jag engine is the perfect 4wd petrol engine - high power at high revs so you do not run out of revs in an under geared 101 and it develops its torque at about 1800rpm and holds it right through to about 4000rpm.

Keep us up dated.
I am following this with much interest.
Whats the story on the motor.
Did you get it rebuilt or put it in as is.
I costed a 4.6 ...3K rebuilt with top hat seleves, pistons ,rings and bearings with me doing the labour.
I am interested in what you think of the extra grunt.
Should be a whole new world.

Sounds like the simplest way to go for a 101.
Did you get enough run to click into O/D?
Glad you're happy.
Sounds like I now need to get a 101 and a 4.6 to go it! :)

Have you got before and after road test specs - fuel consumption specs.
Just the facts - says I green with envy:mad:.

Yes would love to see the comparative figures.
Is this a straight swap (engine mounts, gear box, same radiator etc etc) ? {Sorry for the naive question - newbie:angel:}
