Well it's time for a few more mods on ol' Roger :p:twisted:
The drawers & fridge are taking their toll in the back all the time. So time for a suspension upgrade. Wouldn't mind a couple of extra inches while I am going ;)
I know what the die-hards will say & I understand the trouble some have had.
But if I fit a double cardon (sp) joint at the time of upgrade, will I be right ?
I haven't fitted the winch yet as I have been waiting for the suspension upgrade, before I fit it for obvious reasons.
So who has a good tough touring package they think is worth recommending. I have access to Old man emu & tough dog at a reasonable price.
I am keen for something off the shelf, so to speak. I have been & done the custom building & well........ I am getting older & lazier ;)
Once the new shocks & springs are fitted, we are fitting some new rubber. Now tossing up what size to fit here. Should I go with stock size, go the extra width of a 265/75 or see if a set of 285/75 will squeeze under
Now we don't go looking for hard driving (or trouble as my wife use to call it) any more. But we do a fair bit of long weekends with the camper in tow, & we will drag the camper anywhere. We still have our fair share of harder than average off-roading whilst out & about, it just seams to find us :p
The devil inside says go the biggest tire I can fit with a 2" suspension upgrade, the other part of me says, just slip some 265/75's under it as they are available anywhere if ever needed.
Who has some suggestions  I know it's an open ended request. But I am keen to here from the people who have lifted a puma a couple of inches & fitted either 265/75's or 285/75's :D
Stock tires will be fitted to standard steel disco rims & slipped under the camper
