Hello everyone,
I found these side steps in the back of the shed and am wondering what they will suit? I think they are for a short wheel base but don't seem to fit onto my SWB 2a?

Even with the images we have I can not think of a Land Rover that has a 45 deg chassis outrigger or similar that those steps would suit.
Remember the chassis outriggers from the doors forward on both 88" and 109" in all of SII, SIIa and SIII are essentially the same.
I wonder if they could be some fort of step for the front of a caravan or similar? The angled bracket bolting to the "A" frame and the other end under the corner of the van.

Thanks Diana.
I doubt it is from a van, but anything is possible! I presumed that they are from a series/defender of some description as that is the family's choice of steed. I also have some genuine LR steps from a 1999 110 that I am preparing for sale, and they have the silar angled plate at one end.

Yeah but anything with coil springs isn't a real Land Rover, but you may be right about fitting a Defender

Maybe... We had one a while back... Geez I loved that car. I will have a look at some old photos to see if that is where it came from. They are fairly short for a 110 though.
