Hi, just go a message from the independent LR people on the north side who did my pre-Cape York trip oil change and check up. They found that the gearbox was a bit short of oil - by about a litre.
I should have twigged to check all the oil levels when I fitted the transfer case guard - about 800mm leaked out when I removed the bolts form the rear of the transfer case, yet to re-fill to back to the proper level I added about 1.5 litres
This is after two services - the pre-delivery check and a 5000km oil change and check up at the dealers.
So if you have only had your services done at the dealer, then check the transfer case and gearbox oil levels yourself as it seems that they don't
