Dropped the svx into the dealer yesterday with a list of things to be fixed before the 3 years is up. I thought my list was long but they found a number of leaks and faults to add to the already long list.

door seals replaced front and rear passenger......3rd time
high brake light replacement....2nd time
both front windows sticking on travel
clutch replaced
rear diff leaking
oil leaks in the engine....various
window washer nozzle rotating
window wipers not returning to original position
rear sliding window rattling and felt lining coming loose
static on high tech i pod iterface
clutch pedal squeaking.....lubed but still noisy
both door mirrors loose

I have to say the dealer was 100% fair and found things i did not mention.........looks like the dico 4 and i will be getting to know eachother well for a week or so

Well the svx has been in the dealers now for 5 weeks, apparently the gearbox will not line up and there is a problem selecting gears. All was fine ( gearbox wise ) when it went in except for the clutch rattle. It's a bit like the stories you hear of the bloke going in to hospital to get an ingrown toenail removed and he ends up getting his leg off......the wrong one.
The dealer has been very appologetic and even the gun wrenches fron LR had looked at it and walked away puzzled.....bollocks i say it's a transit engine, not exactly cutting edge technology and nobody seems to be up to the task.
So i reckon now that's about it when / if it comes back it's going up for sale or possibly chopped in on a g wagon, i just don't have the patience for this anymore,
even the lone car is throwing up fault warnings on a daily basis.......gearbox fault, brake assist fault, stability control fault , suspension fault.......and the rest...so it's ta ta to TATA as far as i'm concerned.
