Yes, I have a TDV6 SE in the driveway. I was asked to look after it over the weekend.

Nice! It's the first time I've driven one. Smooth and taut, I'll give it that.
I'd need to drive it a bit more to see if I prefer it over the P38A.

I think I need to read the owner's handbook. It has a lot of stuff.

By gum, the rear compartment is big, the leather interior is very nice, and I love the way the rear seats fold into the floor - but I don't need to have the car say "Goodbye" to me when I remove the key!

At least it's not white so it doesn't look like a fridge.

You have something against 4wd fridges? The D4 salesman told me white's the new black. And do you seriously think any of us have read (maybe read...but not understood) the manual?

Pfft! Reading the owner's handbook is for those who have nothing better to do! (I'm on the RR.Net forum and it's amazing how often questions are asked about things covered in the handbook. :D )

The car certainly has a solid feel to it (I mentioned taut in my initial post). The doors close perfectly and with little effort, panel fit is good, etc.

I'd like to try it out over some rougher roads or tracks.

My wife dislikes the look of them - especially in gold (Altacama Sand?) or white. Still, from the front, the D3 looks a damn sight better than the D4.

Parramatta Rd doesn't really count as a rough track or road Ron ;)

cheers,

Some parts of High St./GWH in Penrith do, Terry! There are a couple of places which really cause the front suspension on my V-Strom to crash quite loudly!

The D4 salesman told me white's the new black.

I'd go along with that, surprisingly as a salesman said it, but it's not just white. The new black is a brighter intensity white

Smooth & taut is a great description Ron, particularly taut, it's like that in the rough stuff too.
