G'Day Mate.
I'd hazard a guess and say cradles for optional (unfitted)equipment such as ICE etc

I think the surround camera box fits under the passenger seat?

I don,t have that frame under the passengers seat in my D4, but I think the unit under the drivers seat is the audio unit ?

In a HSE D3 the Nav disc player is fitted under the passenger seat, yes also some Audio related box under the drivers seat.

The nav disk(hard disk) in the D4 is in the Nav unit in the dash board, not under the seat. Probably one of the 1200 differences (just read that somewhere else, probably wrong... like most things you read on the net)

Agree with sniegy about drivers side.

No, not that dramatic, normally the cage can be removed & the amp then also be removed. It's really easy when the seat isn't there tho' :p
Cheers
