Hi all,
I'd like to add dustproof/waterproof outside access to the passenger side rear quarter panel locker in my County, along the lines of what Perenties have:

My County already has the toolbox fitted, access is through a rattly top hatch but is a real pain to get to when loaded up. Of course thats where useful things like the wheel brace and hi-lift adapter live.
I think it'd be a great spot for onboard air too!
I have done a heap of searching on the forum, google etc and not come up with anything...yet
Any ideas where to get a waterproof & dustproof locker (ie lockable) to suit?
Or else some search terms that might prove fruitful?

I agree the inside access while simple to fit is impossible to access if you have a car loaded up in the back.
I have the exterior access door on both sides. The seal is very similar/identical to the door seals. You can buy a length from Clarke rubber. You should be able to set it up with some cheqer plate for the door, a locking mechanism, piano hinge and flat to use as a spacer so the seal compresses evenly.

One of the boys on here has something like this fitted to his Puma (Gav maybe?) think it was done by Mulgo - I quite like the idea myself.

Something like this?
Terrafirma Side storage lockers | Accessories - Storage Lockers Accessories for Land Rover Vehicles (http://www.terrafirma4x4.com/products_php.php?cat=56&grp=291)
Or this
Gap Analysis - Vehicle preparation for overland expeditions (http://www.gapanalysisconsulting.co.uk/shop/product/?product=4)

G'day Wayne,
You're on the money! Now why didn't my thread seraching come up with those threads...;)
The Gap Analysis Landiebox looks much like what i'm after, however I really only need the door as the box is all in place, and is spot welded all around. It isn't coming out...
The maximum size the door could be is 23x46cm, and that panel is actually straight enough to work with...
I have seen some caravan suppliers have exterior access hatches/doors too, will browse their catalogues tomorrow.
RAR110 are the Perentie lockers accessible from inside as well as out?

Hey Mark,
Take a look at your local caravan parts suppliers. Different size doors in plastic or aluminium can be bought off the shelf. Most metal fabricators can bend you one up quickly with seals, similar to what you see on camper trailers.

Boating shops are also worth checking out. They will have a range of off-the-shelf waterproof hatches. Boating shops can also be useful for 12v electrical components.

The other alternative would be to ring Daniel at Mulgo,as I believe that is how Gav eventually went.So Daniel might already have the design you need. But Daniel is going away till the end of August at the end of this week:(

Mulgo definately has done this before. I prefer the water tank up there but each to their own.
