i all,

i have tried doing a couple of searches for this but have found nothing conclusive.

i was wondering if anyone could tell me the differenced between the D3 and D4, in particular, the diesel models.

i know that the looks have slightly changed and that the 2.7l was replaced with a 3l engine, resulting in more power.

are these the main/only changes?

as i am having trouble finding a suitable D2 i am looking up the ladder.

i don't want to spend the extra to get the D4, but is it worth it?

There are approx. 1200 or so changes from the D3 to the D4.
The 3.0 TDV6 was introduced because of EU regulations for pollution.
In Australia the 2.7 TDV6 is still available, it is slightly retuned.
The suspension & electronics package vary greatly between the 2 & one of the major reasons I got my D4, It is just so much more refined.
Drive both back to back (2.7) & you will feel the difference.
If you dare drive the (3.0) & you will want one! ;)
Cheers & good luck.

After changing from one to the other, the changes are quite noticable.
Not only the 2.7Lt to the 3.0Lt, but the ride, quietness, smoothness, handling etc etc etc.
Having said this, you dont miss what you havent got, so if you choose the D3 you will be more than happy.
Cheers, Craig
