Transmission fault

Freelander 2, 2007, after 80K km shows "Transmission fault. Traction reduced" and "Special programmes off". Now useless in icy, snow covered road conditions. Does anyone have any experience with this issue?????

Yes I experienced this problem as well. I had several Rat infestations and was suprised to hear that when I took it to Land Rover in Canberra they covered the repairs under the " Erad Rat " warranty claim system. All I did was catch the offending animal ( a pre requisite to have the claim paid ) and present it to the dealer , and they paid the claim. You may want to ensure that the rat you take to them has the particles of the engine bay that it ate in its stomach contents so that they can verify the fact that the rat shewed the components.
