Good mornin all!
I have a gas problwm, I need a LPG gas wiring diagram, I was neating up all the wiring in a mates 1986 3.5 v8 rangie and yep!! I think I stuffed it. Its a impco system.
It runs fine on gas no problem, but when you put to petrol, it stops. It tries to fire BUT just wont work.
I have noticed their are three relays. and when its trying fire 2 go nuts, click click etc.
So I've put a wire wrong somewhere! any ideas?
Cheers NAT

Hi Nat,
If its not running on petrol then you need to identify the relays that cut off the injectors. Every gas fitter will wire a gas system slightly differently, so a diagram won't help much.
If there are two relays cutting the two injector banks they will cut into the main loom somewhere, the loom wires will be yellow with trace colours. Then determine if the relays have secure earths (terminal 86) and are being powered (terminal 85) by the petrol side of the gas changeover switch.
Also see if you have knocked the ECU pulse wire off the negative side of the coil, it is white with a black stripe.

I had the wiring the wrong way around to the relays. bee utey was my main man on this one!
It was simple AFTER you know what your looking at! hehe
This is from memory AND it worked on my mates RRC.
2*Yellow = injectors = 30 and 87
Brown wire was "trip" =85
Black earth = 86
And there are two of these, one per bank. So the trip wire makes the connection pass through the yellow wires.
Ah.... this makes sooo much more sense in my head!!!
BUT again Thank you very very very much bee utey!
Cheers NAT

hi just a small hijack but im wondering if this is the problem with mine as one bank is on and doesn't turn off. i have a multi meter but need help identifying what im looking at. the relays click however not sure if they are working via multimeter. if there is a step by step or if someone can guide me and get my rangie running on fuel then i will be forever grateful
