Just Ordered

Hi All,

After a few days of haggling with a number of dealers I finally ordered my new D4.

MY2012 (March Delivery) HSE 3.0DT
Sumatra Black
Ebony Interior
Cold Climate Pack
Active Diff
Logic 7

I scraped in just under $100k which I'm happy with. Now I have a long wait ahead of me.

I'm way ahead of myself but does anybody know if there is a way to track the car when it's on the boat? I was able to do this with my BMW on 2wglobal.com site using the VIN.

Really really looking forward to becoming a Land Rover driver :)

Hi there. It comes with Heated Front and Rear seats which is what we wanted it for. As well as heated steering wheel and I think heated washer jets.

Just curious, did you specifically want a Mar 12 delivery or was this your earliest offerred by the dealer? It seems a long way away.

I ordered one a few weeks ago and will get a Mid Nov 11 delivery.

They did offer a December delivery for 12 spec but I figured that I'd rather wait a couple of months so that I'm not stepping into an 11 build car so late in the year.

Unfortunately we're not getting the 8 speed on the MY12 here but I was happy with the 6 speed when I drove it. Leaps and bounds ahead of the transmission in my X3.

Yeah, we're not getting it here in 2012. There are a couple of things we're missing out on compared to the UK. From what I can see we're missing out on the 8 speed gearbox, the Jag style rotary gear selector and flappy paddles gear changers on the steering wheel.

We are getting the equipment updates though. They're all listed here and seem to be very similar if not the same as the other markets:

was at the dealers today servicing the D3 and getting quotes on trading in the D3 on a new D4 ....

Unfortunately Australia wont get the 8 speed auto yet. Its only for Euro 5 markets which we wont move to until November 2012.....
