Hi Guys,

I have a P38 Vogue 2000 and recently had the GPS pack up. I am in Perth so had to send it away to Melbourne for repair. 9 months later after many phone calls have received the unit back. Problem is, that it is not the same unit (newer version), which is OK, if it works. It does not! (all the lights flash, maps etc.) but apparently it needs an imput security code for it to operate. I have a security code for my existing unit that was sent for repair, but of course it does not work with the new GPS. The repairer can not supply a code or will replace my old sat sav, so I am 4 digits off from being able to use my GPS.

Doe's anyone know where in Australia I can find someone to decode my GPS unit?

I have a similar unit which I have removed from my MY 99/2000 P38. It has a Sensis 2007 map upgrade CD plus a firmware update plus the remote and pin code etc. you are welcome to it. PM me if you are interested -can get it carried to Perth in three weeks time.

Most generous offer! You mentioned the "pin code". This is obviously what I need to access the "set" button to enable my 'new' Sat Nav to operate. Does each GPS have their own "pin code"? Also you mentioned a "remote" - what is this?
