Fitting Glind heat exchanger

Hi Guys,
I am fitting a glind heat exchanger that i got in the red centa pack
Has any one mounted one of these units to there Pumu engine?I have just bought one and dont want to mess it up if any one has some pics of the mounted unit can you please post up or email me.

Not much room under there i think i will be making a bracket up tommorrow.Bugger the process is so simple but the mounting is very difficult.

.I would like to here from any one who has fitted one to there Landy.My dilemma is that i will have to make up a bracket as well as growing the balls to cut the heater hose:eek:.
I am off to the Gibb river road on Friday so i need to get this fitted this week or the wife will give me grief for three weeks.
Any photos of yours that you have fitted would be great.

I didn't want you to feel unloved so I thought I would reply. I will have to catch up with you when I get over to TP. Send me a PM if you are ever heading towards Newman.

Not sure which model you have, but cutting a heater hose is not an issue, just cut it where you want to mount the heat exchanger, or like I did with the old Isuzu engine'd Rover, just mount the exchanger where it looks neat and run new hoses to and from. Hardest part is connecting up the pump and that is not very difficult. Hope you can keep the missus happy and enjoy the trip.

thing is Dan, you are way off out in the yonder over here. You need to put this thread in Mods, or the Defer pinnacles.

Still I'm impressed, I think Gav110 (who I couldn't recall when you first posted for help) is the only other bloke to fit one to a puma that I'm aware of. Looks neat, did it take you long? Work correctly?
I have toyed with idea but like you, scratched my head as to where it would go.

thanks for that, I will see if I can match the photos to my engine bay to see where it goes. One of those is on my list of 'to do' but I've got a few other things to get out of the way first.

I installed a Twine Shower (very similar design) over Christmas. The heat exchanger is in the exact same spot as yours, the water pump is in the engine bay and connected to a underbody water tank - pics are here (Landy Build (http://web.mac.com/frank_shazzie/Site/Landy_Build.html) )
Works very well indeed; for those really icy days it would be nice to have a hand throttle - so let me know if you work out how to install one of those in a Puma (I currently use a stick).

Just checked out your build up on the 110.
Top job mate you have spent some time setting that up.
Did you find that once you installed the draws you lost the rear end noise?
I love the tank set up under the drivers seat thats a little ripper,I have to find myself one of those.

Yes, painting the rear wheel arches with sound deadener and adding the drawers certainly did quieten thing down a bit.
