Hi all,

Had a ride around a proprty today in a clients HSE diesel FL2. Was a great ride but was noticably a lot less clearance than what I was used to.

One thing that was really annoying is everytime you had to open a gate the car would lock itself before you got back (still had a driver in it). I assume this is an anti hijack thing like in some USA cars.
Is there any way to discable it? Either through the onboard touch screen or by the dealer?

I told them their dealer would most likely be able to do that but the dealer is 150kms away. Don't know where they have it serviced but it was brand new I think.

Would be nice but wayyyyyyyy out of my price range :(

Hi,

Yes the dealer can de-activate this feature... seems as this was initially set to auto lock if the vehicle moves (above 2 or 8km/h)

The vehicle can be configured by a
Land Rover Dealer/Authorised
Repairer to lock automatically
when in motion. Contact your
Dealer/Authorised Repairer for further
information.

I do not think you can change this yourself - unfortunately.

Thanks.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it was also locking after a set time before the car was moving.

I told her the dealer could sort it so I guess she will do that soon as it was driving her nuts pressing the button every two minutes or so (there were a LOT of gates on her property).
Unless the sheep turn into carjackers I think she will be alright.
