Hello all, I know this is not a Landrover and forgive me but given I appear to be the first few members with an MGF and failing suspension (Rover type 1997) I thought I would show the brillance of our Australian suppliers who undertake to develop products to rescue our cars.

Basically, the MGF uses a hydrostatic suspension system that is no longer able to be acquired with these cars going to the graveyard rather early. Attached is a picture of a spring and adjustable damper setup that replaces the spheres in the cars.

I thought I would just show a picture of the kit if any of you are MG Rover owners.

Cheers Geoff

Stuart Radcliffe at MG Centre Sydney. If you search MG RV8 pages you can navigate to the docs etc. He has sold a few now and after 8 months of ownership, they are a hoot.

Basically King Springs custom made with Gaz adjustables followed by the hardware. I set mine to the min height tollerance of 350 rear and 353mm front and then used a camber gauge which shows 30 min of neg angle on all four spot on so you can go lower if you wanted to up to about 1 degree of min angle, but why bother for normal use. I installed the compliance washers (Ikea left over kitchen products at lifeline makes good plastic for cut out washers for $5 dollars at most) and set 5min toe in rear with 5 min toe out as recommended by most and have never looked back to muck around any more. I have slowly increased the gas softness by a click or two which makes a major difference in the drive experience. ( not all four at once as is as rears impact on front to some degree) Best of luck with this. Did find after first few weeks post install the springs did settle but less then 5min in it at the most and adjusted up for a final.

By the way, Gunson tools have a special at the toolacademy with laser alignment and camber / castor guage for 72 pound plus approx 20 pound delivery to australia. I did a be write up on the MG fourms in UK. Seriously you can play with settings all day long for these cars as a DIY

Many thanks. I will follow up. Stuart's kit seems superior to others available with the easy adjustment of ride height and adjustable dampers.
