Love this site, does any know if the sill fuel tanks off a pre 1994 Classic will fit under a Disco 1?

Pretty much identical I believe but watch out for a bracket on some D1's which supports the front seat mount off the inside of the sill panels. RR's generally don't have the bracket, some D1's don't either. make sure the sill tank has a notch for this bracket, its about 50mm wide from memory.

When I had LRA sill tanks installed in my 1988 Range Rover in 1991, the proprietor specifically told me that they would also fit a discovery.

But the bracket can "fall Off" as mine did:)
no problems.:)

i still have a couple of sill tanks here, i looked at them for the '87 classic hi-line and i also put them up to see how they fit, rather neatly. compared to my '95 disco it should be better as mine has holes already in the chassis for mounting the tanks whereas the classic did not. mine hold 40ltrs each
