Does anyone have a spare pair of those 10" brake trailing shoe anchor things ..

I think I've worked out why my rear shoes make a loud racket . It only happens when braking in a forward direction. I believe the trailing shoes are being pulled up and around the drum , a rather nasty noise eminates . The linings somehow drag , they are new linings and I don't know what quality

Thanks..MIKE

IGNORE THE ABOVE , I JUST GOT A PAIR OFFERED TO ME .

Haven't heard back from that guy so I still need 2 of those anchors... I could make them but its nice to have originals and the correct size . I think they are a common part.

MIKE morrispu@yahoo.com Thanks

Hi Mike

I can have a look for you tomorrow afternoon, as I do have a couple of used spare ones.

Although I'm still looking for a hand piece for a warn winch that I have buried in the shed, it's for a AULRO member and I said that could help him out, but I think now I have been that long finding it that I'm being a hinderence to him instead. :(

Cheers Arthur

Sorry Mike

Had a look at the 10" brake bits ( Anchor for brake shoe, part no 236993 ) and one is missing and the other is beyond economical repair ( BER and mangled )
I found the hand piece that the other member was after and its a three pin plug for an earlier Warn winch, so he was out of luck also.

Notso cheers Arthur

Hi Mike

If someone can come up with a good straight example for you to borrow, it would be possible to cut out another with a plasma cutter using the tidy one as a pattern.

Cheers Arthur

No worries . Thanks for looking . I think a chap in the UK has posted me 2 - no hurry at all , the clipper ship has the wind behind it and is in the roaring 40's as we speak. I will have to drill and tap the shoes to fit them.
