Take out the cup inserts in the centre console drink holder. Pull the drink holder up. It is held in by 4 clips and takes some effort. I found it easier to pull one side up, place a screw driver under the exposed lip, then pull the other side up. Underneath this is the water shield.

Remove the two Phillips head screws (Note the EPB manual release cable).

Turn on the ignition (not the engine) and put the car in Drive. Pull the head of the gear shift directly up to remove the gear lever handle. Again this takes some effort.
The centre console can now be removed by grabbing either side of the console where the cup holder was (forward of the centre console storage bin/arm rest) and pulling directly up. Note that this is all very different to the D3!

To remove the panels either side of the radio.....move to the centre dash below the radio/sat nav display. Remove the plastic shelf directly under and in front of the display by lifting it directly up. It is held in place by two clips.

Remove the chrome surround from around the stereo controls by carefully pulling it forward. The chrome around the on/off and OK buttons may come away too but these are easily put back.
To remove the RHS trim:
Remove the knee panel below the steering wheel by grabbing it at the top, either side of the steering column and pulling it forward and down. Make sure both clips are in place!
Extend the steering wheel forward.
Grab the trim at the bottom and pull forward. It is held in by 5 clips that are easily lost! Note that unlike the D3, this trim is one piece that comprises both the trim to the RHS of the radio controls and the small piece of trim between it and the steering wheel.
Also note that the cable to the Start button is quite short so don't be too aggressive when pulling the trim out.

The LHS trim should be similar.
Putting it all back together takes 5 minutes.
