Hi Guys,
It's been a while between drinks; and well... even longer for my MY99, now marooned since April. After a compressor and valve block rebuild, I just haven't been able to get her to rise. (and no AMI!).
I've had to rely on my old Laser as a daily whilst I wait for the weather and some time off work.
Basically I began noticing the compressor running too long and had a few 'pressure signal constantly high' soft faults. I pulled down the compressor adding a new seals and then rebuilt the valve block with the orange diaphram. Thanks to Paul of Hard Range for the parts. Using Storey's EAS Unlock and running the pump for around 20 mins; all that displayed was entry level height, with standard flashing.
After confirming no movement or errors; I sprayed soapy water over the valve block. I found one of my solenoid housings had cracked and bubbles from 2 others.
I pulled everything down again and discovered 3 pinched stem seals and a duplicated exhaust valve solenoid seal. I changed the solenoid cover, the compressor piston sleeve and pressure switch at this point.
Well after fixing up, thanks to Paul once again for spares; the EAS still isn't happy. I've run the system using Storey's Unlock for another 20 mins with a door open, closed and still no lift. The dash displays all doors are shut and the standard ride height flashes and that is it.
I checked the fuses F17 and 44 and swapped the EAS relay. I pulled the EAS relay (under pass seat) and connected an air compressor to #5 on the valve block and manually raised 3 sides using Unlock, the right rear didn't change.
Noting that I'm going to pull down the right rear solenoid. If anyone can provide some advice, pointers; tips and so on please post, I'll be extremely thankful as obviously I've missed something!! Is there a pinout/diagram for the solenoid harness in case I've mixed one up?
