Over priced for a conversion. "Overfinch Replica" pfft.
"The engine is alot more reliable than the 15 yr old stock 4.6 V8s, and has alot more power." Of course one must assume that the new engine was newer than 15 years, etc.

And yes a lot more reliable engine, of around the same vintage. never really here of many problems with this engines

I am very interested in this conversion... any more info on the car? did someone here do that kinda job? what would be involved as far as transmission and adapters is concerned? would the RR transmission be able to handle that kinda power boost? hmmmmm
I might just do this :)

That engine looks to be fitting in very nicely. Its sitting very low.
A Chev is at least 100kg heavier than a Rover engine.
A reco Trans would be ok as long as you dont go too bananas on the loud pedal.

Weight is no issue, I've done heaps of rr and disco chev conversions
I think the 24 is a fair wack larger than the 22, so hopefully should've alright, cause will most likely end up with an eaton m122 supercharger, locked diffs and large tyres

One question for the owner, is it engineered?
If you are an interstate purchaser rego might be a hassle.

are you sure about the weight? an LS1 is made of aluminium as well

I thought they only had alloy heads on them.
Do you have to get this engineered if you put another make of V8 under the hood?

LS1 and LT1 are different creatures, IIRC the LT1 has a cast iron block...
