Hi all,
I'm one of the team members involved with the 2012 Sh1tbox Rally (from Melbourne to Cairns raising funds for the Cancer Council). The limitation of a 'sh1tbox' is a vehicle that is purchased, made roadworthy and then registered for under $1,000. If you think back to your last rego payment, you'll realise that doesn't leave much cash at all to play with.
Our 83 Rangey has certainly seen better days but is a relatively good basis on which to build. Thank fully a previous owner has put it on gas, unfortunately the tank was installed over 10 years ago and is subsequently out of date.
Does anyone know where I could get an APA A99 101L LPG tank tested in/around Melbourne for next to nothing?
Whilst getting it tested will lower our fuel costs on the 3500km+ journey, it still technically counts to the $1,000 total... and we've got plenty of other things to suck up cash.
I'm toying with the idea of seeing if APA would be interested in sponsorship but wanted to try your knowledgeable selves first.
Thanks! Case.
