Tried to burn a couple of new CD's for the ute, and tracks that have burnt fine before are now throwing up errors in media player and nero, so i'm on the hunt for a replacement

What options are there?

You want to burn audio cd or you want to rip or ?

I always burn audio cd at 4x speed as you get a lot more stable disc

Mp3 disc can be done at any speed as they are just data discs

not being given an option with burning speeds, nero doesnt even finish analysing the files....

for ripping MP3's, i use buzzsaw, the bulk of my MP3's are all 320kb/s

BurnAware - Free burning software with Blu-ray and Windows 7 support (http://www.burnaware.com/)

the free version works fine..

maybe you have a corrupt codec installed?

"AudioCD.exe - entry point not found" - "The procedure entry point ILGetSize could not be located in the dynamic link library shell32.dll", reboot, same problem, reinstall and reboot, still there..... and its not listed in thier error codes
