just about to go buy brakes so ive been doing research on bendix brakes. problem ive encountered is that bendix lists two types of brakes and im not sure which will suit my car.

they have classified the brake pads as:

Freelander Jul 2002-Now SE 5D 2.5
Freelander Feb1998-2002 4D 1.8, 2.0 Wagon & softback

being a 2001 freelander and also a 2.5 petrol variant. im conflicted on which one to get, although im leaning towards for the first option but i need confirmation.

any help would be appreciated.

As nobody that actually knows has posted, I'll take a stab.

I suspect you should just grab those listed for the V6, the brakes (front and rear) are different on the V6 from the earlier 1.8Ltr.

Land Rover only list 2 types of pads
Up to YA999999
and from 1A000001
Supermono is correct, use the V6 listed type

Thanks guys, ive change my brakes and rotors and i can confirm that it is indeed the ones listed as 2002 v6 from bendix. i found it odd that they didnt provide metal backplates and the brkes which were worn didnt have any backplates either.

They use a resin on the backing plate now to prevent squeeling. the tin plates are gone
