A couple of GPS questions please.
I have a recent version of Igo 8 on my GPS and when it is on switched external power and power is removed it goes through a routine of going to sleep - this is Igo generated rather than other software in the GPS. The problem is that when power comes back on the GPS does not come back to life and takes up to 4 taps on the on switch to get it back. When Igo does come back it has lost the link to the GPS receiver and I have to go back into Windows CE and reset the GPS receiver.
When on battery power I can put it to sleep no issues and bring it back and still connected to the GPS receiver - so the issue is Igo and switched power related. I have been into the Igo menu system to turn off the automatic sleep but can not find anything.
Any pointers from the Igo experts would be helpful.
Second question - I bought one of these 7" Touch Screen LCD Windows CE NET 6.0 GPS Navigator with DVB-T/AV/Europe Maps (4GB) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme (http://www.dealextreme.com/p/7-touch-screen-lcd-windows-ce-net-6-0-gps-navigator-with-fm-av-europe-maps-4gb-56308) to install in my dash. It is a tad too big but the main issue is the screen is absolute crap - you cannot see the screen in any sort of light (even with a shield). So I am looking for a 6-6.5" GPS that I can put Oziexplorer on as well as Igo or Tom Tom. It needs to have all the sockets (like the Ranga special), video in and ideally the on/off switch on the front or as a minimum at the top. 128mb RAM and decent internal flash memory with decent SD card capabilities would be great.
Any suggestions on a model that might suit the above requirements would be appreciated.
Thanks
Garry
