My Grandad died today. He was 88...I hope this is the last bit of tragedy for my family this year. If you pray, please send some thoughts my Grandmother's way.

I just managed a month. I don't want to do this all over again

Thank you all,
Sorry Andrew I've been terrible with my phone lately! You're right, 88 is a great innings, I just can't bear to go to another funeral right now. He'll be buried where my uncle is...my uncle died the same way Simon did...doesn't help that I've got the flu an a 39.5 degree temp and energy wise just can't cry anymore. Feel like a bit of a misery guts!! We'll be ok...just makes me feel so sad, he was a beautiful man. Grumpy as hell, used to say that getting out of bed in the morning ruined his day.

Chin up Sarah. I know you are going through hard times at the moment. Just remember there are lots of people here to give you a shoulder to lean on and offer support. Although you will never forget these dearly departed, and they will forever be in your heart, time does slowly heal these wounds.

Again my heart goes out to you for your loss, but as some one else said, 88 is a good innings.

Dave.

Thoughts and prayers with you and all of your family, Sarah.
Its a cruel hand you have been dealt this year.

At least you know at least one person Simon's chatting with whilst watching over you guys!

Hang in there mate, Ride out the rough stuff and things have to get better.

Get someone to look after Lucas a few days and sleep that flu off, its the only way to knock it out!

We are all thinking of you.

Promise I'll be a bit more positive once this virus goes away and I can get a bit of clarity :) Thank you all for your kind words and all the PMs.

Side note, Have lost my voice so am not taking calls, sorry! I don't get the sexy husky voice, I just sound a little scary. Trying to text but some calls have come up as private so I can't text you back :( I know you'll check here though
