I went out and bought the wife a present the other day, one that I'm starting to regret.
no it wasn't a diamond ring, flowers or a puppy, it was this little series III

G'day All, Mate I have no sympathy for you whatsoever:D;):p, now you are going to have to either grovel or take it when she is asleep/work, and bet your life you will be seen in it and then in the ***t:wasntme::p, anyway as Uncle stated, nice little vehicle, cheers Dennis:angel:

G'day woody :)
Your other half will probably require you to do the maintainance on it, which will require "road testing it" even when you have to put air in the tyres ;)

Its not suited for use as a shopping trolley or school bus, a nice little 4 cylinder car like a Suzuki would most likely suit her needs better and she could use it to go to church on Sundays, but if she is happy with it then thats all that matters
If I brought my wife one the first opportunity she got she would run over me with it.

My wife would rather walk than drive a Barina.

sorry for the late reply,
She originally came from Charleville and never seen the beach, 2nd owner bought her about 10 years ago as a project and the 3rd owner picked up not long after that and held her till now. She has a few war wounds around the panels but looks good all the same. The first owner replaced the original leaf springs with parabolic springs, but apart from that she's pretty standard.
I offered to buy my wife a new car for about $25 000 but she wanted a series Landy, so I happily obliged.

G'day All,
Good looking little truck, does it have 'Parabolic' springs fitted to the rear??.
Mrs H, I would say that the panel in question has been added to the wheelbox as a storage/carrying box, to stop items from falling on the floor etc, again a nice little truck, lucky swmbo;), cheers Dennis:angel:

It seems to be a couple of sheets of aluminum, possibly to provide a well to keep things in and stop them sliding around the back (but that's a guess). We'll remove them in due course to make it more comfortable for the dogs.

There was a 109 on the side of the road that we drove past most days, i kept saying 'one day I'm going to stop and have a look at that!' Well, to cut a long story short, she brought it for me and we got married in it!

A hint here...my 'zara' has been a little sad this past week so HH has been driving her to work each day to see the problems;)
find a problem, your chance there:twisted:
Though a nice change for me, driving Big Red, doesn't happen often:)
Advancing or retarding the distributor will make it run rough;):wasntme:

Your a lucky bugger. I have tried to convince SWMBO into getting a P38 for her daily driver but she won't part with her Fairlane. Having done 350,000 km we recently discussed a replacement and as hard as I tried she wants an LTD. I even got her to drive a P38 but to no avail.
Dave.
