Touchscreen GPS, Oziexplorer, Android & Win CE

My el Cheapo Chinese 7" touchscreen GPS has finally stopped pretending it has/had a battery (or USB port for that matter) and now has a battery life measured in seconds. This is very annoying when I turn off the ignition! Otherwise it works fine :D

Anyway.......thought I'd just get another but of course nothing is simple.

A search of Ebay comes up with no Win CE OS touch screens that I can find.

Oziexplorer for Android is available as a beta; which is fine but his description of the beta's functionality is confusing as to what it currently does and doesn't do.

Clues, advice, illumination welcome on what to get and where to get it.

Look at these I have an older model 7010 its 18 months old battery still works but it is power hungry I run ozi on mine on problems:) Thr touch is very sensitive so I always use the stylus

Have you tried opening the unit - I'd imagine that the battery would be fairly easy to replace - it's opening the unit that's the hard part.

I have used Ozi on android and it's quite decent, although I'm no longer a fan of Android devices. I have an atom PC in the rear of my car which runs OziExplorer and runs as a file-server. In the front I have a bracket that supports my iPad which I use for navigation (Pathaway EX) and I can open a remote session to the PC in the back running Ozi anytime.
