Last week I ordered a new Puma 110. Received a phone call today from the dealer that the engine for December and January builds will have the new 2.2 litre diesel. Bugger missed out

It's supposed to have the same power output :/ How frustrating - never the less you'll have yourself a brand-spanking-new Defender.

I will be interested in how zippy the vehicle will be. The gearing is more than adequate so engine response and fuel usage will be of interest.

What is the origen of this motor?

It's the same as the 2.4,smaller bore but same family. Pat

Will let you know when it arrives, dealer did not know about it until I quizzed him on what motor it had he said at first that it was a 2.4 then looked at the build sheet and found that it was a 2.2. His comments were we know more than he does as a dealer. He is going to check it out as there are no pamphlets on the new motor yet.
