Aulro Awards ?

Today I was having a think/ponder/daydream and thought there are some real special/unique/interesting characters here and we should really recognise them.

So, perhaps, in this 10th year of Aulro (When is the anniversary date?) we should have an awards ceremony. The categories would need to be decided, we could stick to the normal things like:


Most Interesting Thread
Nicest Rebuild Thread

etc
etc

or we could go left field with:



Biggest Rivet Counter.
Hamlet Award for Consistent Procrastination (Or should we call this the "Gunna" award)
Most Colourful Engine Bay.
Bigggest Hoarder.
Biggest Pot Stirrer.
Most Helpful Mod
Least Helpful Mod:p



and so on...

We could use the poll function to vote on the winner. (Haven't had a good poll for a long time!)

I'd be happy to collate and post nominations once we had the categories sorted.

Of course the award would be like peeing in a wet suit. (Gives you a warm feeling but no one will really notice!)

Anyway just an idea. Happy to be shot down in flames.:)

In that case, maybe it should be called the Ludwig Leichhardt award. At least King made it back alive and they found the bodies of Burke and Wills. They are still looking for Leichhardt and his five white men, two Aboriginal guides, seven horses, 20 mules and 50 bullocks.

However, in that case I suppose it would have to be awarded posthumously. :)

Not quite the 'tiger by the tail' rather the 'tiger by the head' award I was thinking...:angel:

Mind you it may never be won by anyone else if the yard stick is the 'Tigers head' thread.

Member most likely to be banned to the bigggest pot stirrer. (Need a name for that one?)
Anorak Award for services to Rivet Counting
Green Award for vehicle most envied/covetted by other members.
Screen Hog Award for the biggest signature block
Round two-it Award for the the most consistent "gonna get a....."
Bolle Award for the most garrish paint scheme
Bower Bird Award for consistent hoarding
