Two questions:
1/ The rear brake hose on the 2A's seems to be different between the 88" and 109", according to my parts catalogue. Are they different lengths, fittings, or something else?
2/ Are stainless steel braided brake hoses (the PTFE lined Goodridge hoses, not the "braid on rubber" cheapies) legal in NSW?

1. Without looking, length (military 2as different again)
2. Probably not strictly legal, as they are not the same as genuine parts, but I do not know of any specific prohibition or reason for not using them (or for using them either, in this rather undemanding application).

I am considering them for two reasons. Firstly I have used them in a selection of high performance vehicles over the years and found them to give a good pedal feel (not so vital in a Series Land Rover, I'll grant you!) and be very resilient*. Secondly, they are available from the UK at a lower price than generic rubber hoses in Australia and will add nothing to the shipping costs due to their light weight!
* I have heard stories of them breaking when caught on something, with claims that a rubber hose may have stretched and not given way, but without a side-by-side test that appears to be nothing but speculation.
