Hi all,

Could anyone tell me if my 99 Td5 Defender was delivered with alarm plips. i was playing with my Nanocom EVO and was looking though the alarm file. I managed to get the horn to sound and the dash/speedo light to work, also immobilised the engine and the dash light flashed faster to indicated an unauthorised entry. however I don't have any plips. If I order a pair from a dealer can I code them and more importantly will they work?

Cheers all.

Google 'Lucas 10AS', plenty of stuff about it.

Pretty sure this is what you are after
Remote Alarm 315mhz, Land Rover Discovery 1, Defender & Freelander | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Remote-Alarm-315mhz-Land-Rover-Discovery-1-Defender-Freelander-/300581525266?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45fc0e1712)
I have the same ones for my 2002 Defender and they work fine
Not sure about the setup presume it will be fairly straight forward

Yes and Yes. Plip learn is easy to do with a nanocom. If you get the fobs from the dealer then have your vin number handy so they can order them with the correct freq. Or once they tell you the freq try elsewhere as these are expensive from the dealer.

Dpending on the spec of the car you may have had the keyfobs supplied from new.

Regardless, the 10AS unit is installed and can be made to be fully functional via Nanocom / Faultmate.

If you dont have the keyfobs, buy a couple, programme up and away you go!
