My son purchased this ED Falcon for a paddock basher.

After a week end in the paddock with his mates and about seven other cars it now looks like this.

When he got it the water pump was leaking. We put a new one on. The pump has now been removed and is sitting on my bench waiting to be disassembled for its bearing to go into my TDI for the fan.

Is it really the same car? ........................as well as the water pump, it appears to have had a bonnet change as well. :o
If so ............................ maybe you need to have a long hard talk to your son and his 'mates'. :wasntme:

I am confused!
That Falcon doesn't look to be the same vehicle!
The one in the first pic does not have the black and red rubber door strip whereas the vehicle in the later pics does!
Cheers, Mick

Mick, Believe me it is the same car. The pic below will shed light on it. He took to it with a couple of $2 cans of pressure pack paint. Why I don't know, it is something us oldies won't understand.
Apparently there is a thing about rocking up with the best looking car even though the intention is to destroy it.
The number plates are now gone as they were returned to the person he purchased it from. This was so he could drive it home.
Some have suggested not a bad effort in a week. If you read my first post it says week end. The below photo was taken about midday Saturday just after the new water pump went in. The above pics were taken Sunday evening. The reason for so much damage at the rear is because, at the end of the day when all was finished and all his mates commodores were dead, he tried to drive it through a dam. When the water went up to the distributor it died. The property owner has a back hoe and he just used the bucket rammed into the roof to pull it out.
It arrived back home and yesterday we pulled the diff lock out and the water pump. And guess what, after three days to dry out the thing started and drove.
As for the bonnet, these things in short bursts are being pushed to the limit and they tend to get a bit hot. So they took to it with the angle grinder to let some heat out.

Can't kill a mighty ford. :)
Good work, we used to do similar cruise around the local area looking for cars to wreck, lots of cars we were tOld if we could start it to take it. One poor bloke said we could have a cortina if we rebuilt it, even rang my mum to make sure she approved, an hour later it had no roof, welded doors and was hot lapping the local quarry.
Can't wait till my son is older so I have an excuse to do it all again.

I do have to admit that I went to the paddock and did a few laps.

I won't have to wait until my son's old enough... My daughter will be there doing it before the son comes of age!

Just two questions:
1. When do you lend him the Disco to take around the paddock?
2. Since when did your yard get so clean?
:p

been thru a few cars, and yer the old ea coons are the best fun,
but the strongest car was a exel, couldent kill it,, i drove it into a huge creek smashing limmiter in 3rd ,, water half way up the screen and ran for about 30 secs till she locked up,,, trusty defender pulled it out,,, took plugs out, pumped the water out, lil bit of oil down the bores,, crank it for about 20mins  and away it went again,
after severl days of light tree smashing/ jumping and demo derbys/ we finaly killed it buy dumping the oil cuting coolent hoses and pumping about 15kg of NOZ down the throtle wile theres a good size brick on the go peddle, lasted a good 10mins like this, the old noz realy made it go past the fuel limmiter and hit the true valve bouncing :wasntme: god its good fun,

I did a couple of laps in the disco on the Sat night after all the other cars were parked for the night and we had a sprinkle of rain.
The place has been cleaned a bit as it is now on the market.
