D4, Trailer lights flash, when I close a door!

I Connected a trailer to my D4 for the first time this week and noticed that the tail lamps and indicators on the trailer flash whenever a door on the Disco is closed.

Anyone else notice this or is it just a feature of my car? :eek:

BTW the trailer has LED lights, if that makes a difference.

Yep - my D4 does exactly the same thing. Very strange.

Other than that the trailer lights work exactly as required, except the car doesnt know its attached. I have a thread elsewhere on this ...

mine dose too, only the rear doors and the tailgate thou, i think?
i took it as a safety thing, to warn oncoming traffic or something like that?

Yep... same here... but all doors do this I have found. Also I am not seeing the trailer stability "light" come on the dash when the trailer is connected and now the reversing sensors won't shut off either. Guess I'll get the LR boys to check it out on the next service as I am still under warranty.
