Hello,
I'm new to the site and a proud owner of a 65 series 2a 88inch. I live in the states and I own four landies. I've owned my 71 series 2a for over 4 years so I'm spittle familiar with the rover. I recently acquired a 65 that had been sitting in a barn for some time. The truck was running when parked and hasn't been run in two years. Not really knowing what type of land rover I was purchasing, I knew I wanted it. The truck has a rear pto winch, disc brakes, power steering and a 6 cylinder holden engine labeled K290 grey 17.9. The bulkhead and frame are very solid with no surface rust what so ever. The truck also included a body cage around the entire truck plus a roll cage too. Can anyone give me some info on this type of truck amd why the extra accessories were added? I be been trying to get the engine started and no luck for two weeks know. Not really sure if I want to keep it in the truck or pull it and Place a diesel instead. Any information would be very helpful on determining the origin of this truck. Everything from the dist cap to the power steering is labeled Australia...thank you
