Saw the queen on tv the other morning riding in the back of her series one landy. Any one prepaired to make her an offer for it while she's here?

It seems there are a few in OZ. There was one for sale a few years back at one of the All British days in Brisbane.

There were 2 or three for sale at the same time about 4 years ago - they went for somewhere around $20K.

The one the Queen used most likely came from the National Museum but there are a couple still in official hands.

There is a 1954 model one, being restored in Adelaide, it was being done very nicely,

Gday Tom,
Is it yourself featured in latest LRO?

BACK TO THIS THREAD...
Do we know who would own one of these vehicles now?
Is there someway we can confirm which are genuine?

As Tom says one of the 54s in being restored in Adelaide. The two 58s sold off at Shannons fairly recently seemed to have gone to ground since then.

Both 54s and 58s are both genuine Royal vehicles. The 58s were just CKDs made in Oz.

An MP3 file of Arthur's interview is available to listen to at the bottom of this page,

Haddo, I may be incorrect, but I don't think the one at Cooma was one used by the Queen on her visits, I believe all hers were painted in a burgandy colour, I think the one at Cooma was a ceremonial series one used by the top brass in the military.
P.s. Why are you not at School son?

Cheers, Dad.
