A TV documentary shoing people in open Land Rovers and the narrator keeps saying they are in open top Jeeps ! Aaaarrrrggghhhhh !!!

Yeah i am always offended by people disgracing Jeeps in such a fashion, everyone knows there is only one Jeep anything else is a pretender :)

I understand your angst there Vlad. My lady friend continually mixes the words Land, Patrol, Cruiser, Rover, Landcruiser, Toyota into any combination which suits her fancy at the time when referring to my Rangie or any other four wheel drive. Oddly enough the word Nissan doesn't figure in her vocabulary. Go figure...........:confused:

But must admit I did enjoy the show on the ABC at 7:30 last night on the history of Australian motoring, where they showed a segment on Len Beadell in which there was a lot of Landrovers.
Missed part 1 last week - I was up at work. Will definitely watch the final part next Sunday.

I always make a point of reminding colleagues who are Toyota and Nissan drivers that Len Beadell drove Land Rovers while building roads so that they (Toyota and Nissan drivers) would also have the opportunity to see remote Australia! :D

A moron at my work thought it was funny to keep calling my new Defender a Hummer.
