Hi All,

Posting for a friend with 2 x P38's. A low K 1995 HSE, and his wifes 1998 SE. The low K car is damaged and we intend swapping interiors to upgrade seats etc. and a few other bits.

My query is, is there a wiring loom connection to plug seat and computer etc into, or are we looking at a major job to get seats alive?

Are the HSE and SE looms same or similar?

What else should we look for, tricks your young players. Any comments welcome, are we mad even trying?

Thanks in advance

RAVE is your friend...the electrical volume is excellent wrt circuits, every connector is described and photographed in position ... My hunch is that while the wiring harness may be able to accept the connectors from the seats on older model, it's another matter as to whether the BECM is configured to allow them to operate...

if you have a high line becm (H on the paper label on the top of the becm fuse box, L is for low line) and the wiring loom is fitted then they will work. if not it is still posible but you may have to cut and shut wiring looms and or get a becm cloned to your car. if you go the way of bypassing the becm connections then all you lose is the memory feature, but you have to wire the drivers seat the same as the passenger seat which means changing all the drivers seat motor connections.
