Hey Beeutey , ever seen a Tank split like this before .Went off like a Atom Bomb ! (Thats what happens when a young over exuberent Firey sprays cold water on a Red Hot Tank )
I think it was a 93 Sherwood or at least a Vogue SE , had all the fruit , air suspension,ABS , etc and ventilated front discs (which I Souvenired amomgst other small trinkets)
Check out the Youtube vid first
Cars on fire in newman - YouTube

Blew the entire roof of the rangie ,and the shed it was in .
Someone was trying to steal the Foulcan , then got the ****s with it and torched it .The rangey was just in the wrong place at the wrong time

That's not an explosion! Mythbusters would be ashamed of an explosion where you could still recognise the vehicle afterwards! From experience taking the roof off a RR doesn't take much effort, there's not much structure up there. Sad end for a nice vehicle though.

I've seen one other split gas tank, our local gas wholesaler used to have one out the front like that which had been caught in the Ash Wednesday fires. Just a wee split, nothing a good panel beater couldn't fix.

I took home a gas tank from the local wreckers once, a staff member had come back after hours to siphon some petrol, had a fag end he dropped in the resulting puddle. A gas tank in the pile next to it got so hot all the plastic fittings inside the tank were melted, but the tank still held gas. I must find the pic one day. Headline: GAS TANK DIDN'T EXPLODE!

I feel humbled.

Suddenly, petrol is NOT quite so expensive anymore.
