Regarding the fitting of a 186 conversion kit I've heard that, using the landy flywheel, what is involved on doing this? Does installing a 186 require any radiator position changes?

There are a number of brands of kits available, the least good are the Dello which have a reputation for being out of alignment in 3 planes, leading to excessive gearbox wear.
The (late) Roy Sim kit was one of the better kits, they were a welded steel adapter and can usually be identified by a pair of parallel weld lines around the circumfrence. The red engines have a heaver flywheel than the later blue/black engines. The Borg & Beck pressure plate housing off a Vauxhaull Velox or Ferguson TE20 tractor will bolt to the standard Holden flywheel and will accept the Land Rover Borg & beck pressure plate, springs and fingers. This gives the standard LR feel to the clutch take up.
The 4 cyl radiator will work on a Holden engine, but it is better if the top inlet is moved to the LHS. If you have a 6 cyl vehicle you can fit the engine in without cutting the front cross member or grill panel.
What ever adapter you get, make sure you use a dial gauge to check it's alignment before you mate it to the gearbox. (There is a thread on the subject.)

Why do you want to fit a Holden engine and what do you expect to gain

the reason for the change iis i want something with a bit more power so i can run bigger tyres and still drive over 60 kmh. if i could get more power out of the 2.25 i would rather do that, but i think it is gonna be more worthwhile fitting a holden engine.
