Has anybody had adaptive cruise control fitted to their D4, HSE MY11? I travel from Perth to Dunsborough and return each weekend. Most of the trip is at 100 or 110 km on dual carriageway. Many drivers appear unable to hold a steady speed or keep left and have to frequently brake, deactivate and reactivate cruise control. Sister in law has it in her volvo, seems to work ok. I have covered 26,000 km in 7 months and adaptive cruise control appears more desirable all the time.

I'm not sure it's available as an aftermarket option. It requires radar and computer coordination with the brakes as well as throttle, so not a trivial fitting.

I have however used it in a Vogue and it is excellent, really improves cruise control so if it is an option for anyone on a new car, take it.
