After reading here over the past couple of years I decided to get the 2 year extended warranty in July just past as mine is an 08 with Allianz as others recommended.
I went in today for the service at roughly 94k kms and mentioned I had a bearing noise in the car, was not loud at all but being a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic, I knew it was not quite right.
Phone call during service, "you require the Transfer Case and Rear Diff assembly replaced".
They called Allianz and the action to replace both components was quickly approved. Just a small wait for them to be shipped west and all will be done in half a day with loan car provided.
Just thought I would give them a plug and recommend them to anyone else considering extended warranty.
I was a bit surprised by it all being good news Allianz wise, not good news for LandRover's component reliability.
Gives more thought to their view of a lifetime Transmission Oil, which I do not believe in I might add having rebuilt a gazillion Transmissions and involvement in Oil Analysis.

Cannot comment on the warranty but the work sounds like the usual "don't know what it is - just replace everything at customers expense". Don't bother actually trying to diagnose the issue.

It does seem strange that both the diff and TC have developed bearing noises at the same time and by only 94K.

I bought a very low km D3 SE through the west coast LR monopoly, and decided to get the extended warranty.

Adjustable suspension caution light has decided to illuminate, diagnosis the compressor is cactus. This alone has paid for the warranty, as one quote to fix it was $1200.

Mind you I shall not get too enthusiastic, as the service and repairs are scheduled for tomorrow.......
